Default Hi everyone; you can call me Eleanor B.

Hi everyone,

I am a huge music lover and had a music review website going on for awhile. I also love to share my experiences when I discipline myself enough to do so. I haven’t frequented a forum in years but after a recommendation from an old friend I decided to do some research because; surprisingly enough I had never heard of this place! One of the first results on Google was from Urban Dictionary: "A forum filled with semi-pretentious peeps who know way more about music then you. They're awesome taste and lightning fast ability to criticize you will both fascinate and infuriate you. Possiply the best music community on the internet.”

I wouldn’t call myself pretentious and in fact can’t stand “know it alls” but do have an affinity with indie bands and love (understatement) music. From what I’ve read so far y’all don’t seem that pretentious anyway. You do seem funny and informative so here I am… registered and what not.

A little bit about me; I am a 31 year old lady and live in Holland. I am an expat who works for a living but mostly I listen and discover music. I love to cook, travel, films and theatre and love spending time with my friends and boyfriend. I love good food, wine and culture. I love gaming when I have a chance but that sadly is a rare occurrence. The genres I am most into are indie rock, post punk, alternative, experimental pop and/or rock, electro pop, etcetera; (flavors of the week include latest albums of: Blood Red Shoes, White Denim, Julian Plenti) but I do have a general interest in music too. I try whenever I can to incorporate music into my life and one of the ways I do this is by coordinating human rights campaigns at festivals, most of which are music oriented.

My boyfriend is also semi fanatical and we go to concerts pretty often. Our last show was Yeasayer at one of the best venues I’ve ever been to in the Netherlands, Paradiso. But let’s talk about Yeasayer in another thread. Festivals are a popular hang out for us during the Spring / Summer months so am plenty busy doing some of the things I love most.

*waves enthusiastically*
