Default Hello there!

Hello Music Banter! I'm pretty much a newbie to music forums, but I'm a big fan of almost all music, except modern mainstream junk. Favourite period of music, 1960-1989 I'm 18, but I've caught up on almost all the big bands in the past 50 years. I often get referred to as a 50 year old living in a young persons body, which I find quite hilarious.

Anyways, I'll look forward to debating with you all

Aye, a lot of classic rock was mainstream in its day, but it has been given a chance to mature and blossom into the awesomeness it is today

Or get lost in the shuffle and become fairly irrelevant to anything happening today. Classic Rock is such a big umbrella under which to place bands of different styles, different influences and different era's that it's extremely hard, if not impossible, to define it.

Some Classick rock is awesome. Some of its shit. :P

Hey, nothing wrong with Classic Rock or Oldies.

Electric Light Orchestra, Billy Joel, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, David Bowie, The Faces, Simple Minds, Bon Jovi... the list of epicness goes on

I'm talking about the tags ... geez.

And Music is not like wine, you don't keep it in a cave to enjoy it decades later. You should just discover all the greatness as its happening, and stop nagging about all the "good days" being a part of the past on your rocking chair, as YOU are the one that is pushing them into the past.

Stop faking "maturity", and get mature already.
... A wise Sean Connery once said: Some old, other mature... Dewars 12
