Well I'm krystal, I'm 24... I'm from minnesota.. I like veggie subs from subway with extra pickles. I have an obsession with coach handbags. One of my most favorite things in the world is the feeling of a brand new pair of socks.. my 2nd favorite band is blink182. Third fav is paramore. Im a sucker for the emo lyrics of a dashboard confessional song. I love movies.. comedies mostly. Tommy boy, the breakfast club, napoleon dynamite, the hangover, superbad, planes trains and automobiles, she's out of my league.

I thought I found a site where I could openly discuss music, the thing I love most without being critisized. I have found that just my saying I love fall out boy.. new threads are posted saying they such and what not. I love most music... jazz, classical, music from the 50s and 60s. I would never judge or make fun of the music another truely enjoys... so far I'm not too impressed with the site.

And to answer the qquestion who is my #1 fav band... its fall out boy.

Allow me to clear things up a bit for you. This is a site where we love new members, but the people who stick around are very tight nit. There is also a collective knowledge of music on this site that is hard to find anywhere else, and as a result, there are quite a few bands that we consider simple stepping stones (sometimes stepping stones worth avoiding altogether) leading to much much MUCH better music. Fall Out Boy is one of those bands, and I think if you gave the site a chance you will soon find music that far surpasses it. We tend to put new members through the ringer, and for that I apologize. Music is a very opinionated subject, especially for people as enthusiastic about it as us.

Consider it a test. Put up with our crap, stick around, and you will find we are easy to warm up to. If you are open to new music, I guarantee you will find a lot worth your while.

But my favorite band is my favorite for a reason. Nothing will compare to them. Yes I'm open to new music... I love music in general. Yes music taste is an opinion, so it can't be wrong. I have a passion for themusic I enjoy. To come here and be told my band isn't worth talking about then why stick around? Its never going to be talked about.. but the artists who r lame and only making music to be in the spotlight like kesha or britney spreas can be talked about and enjoyed without being told its inferior...

We talk about how inferior they are all the time...and there are still people on the site who enjoy them. They put up with the criticism in stride. Talk about Fall Out Boy to your heart's content...all we ask is that when talking about them make sure what you say is discussion worthy. What do you like about them? You may not find many who agree, but if you are passionate about music then I am sure you will find other bands in common with some of the members here.

And I'm sticking to my guns on this one...if you stick around I have no doubt whatsoever you will eventually find a band you like better than Fall Out Boy.

Whatev... this was cool while it lasted. .. kinda lol a music forum where u have to becareful what you post about a band ur passionate about.. :facepalm: not my thing. Thanks, enjoy ur site... I'm off to find one where I can not be ashamed of the music I enjoy :peace:

I'm not saying everyone has to enjoy what I enjoy.. but I should be able to enjoy what I enjoy with discussions on both ends. Not being told my music taste sucks, or its inferior.. ill try and stick around... but I'm unsure..

When I asked about what you liked about Fall Out Boy's sound, I meant more like...do you like the punk attitude, hard rock in general, short poppish songs...what grabs you in music. That way I can put together a list of stuff that you will enjoy and not just throw you my pretentious music elitist list of albums I think you need.

I like patricks unique voice... I like how they mixed catchy sounds with a sort of rock punkness...to me their music is very unique. That's what I like. The album from under the corktree sounds nothing like foile a deux but I love it all. Maybe its unexplainable but their music makes me smile.

I agree with you if they're your favorite band, it's entirely up to you to pick your favorite. And if you learn something new or change your mind about music then let it be on your own terms. And don't let any one bother you, imo I would say stick around for a while MB has a strange cast of characters here.

Oh and btw, I agree completely duga. I found so many amazing bands on here that I'm grateful for having found this site.

If you give it time, you can expand you tastes so much, and regret would be the furthest thing from your mind.

Music is probably the best, only true thing I can hold dearly in my life. Just stick around for a while and you'll understand what I'm saying.

Music is also a massive part of my life as well.. I'm excited to hear some new stuff...
