19/M/ND lf hto femlae 2 cybe wit... wait, what?
Hi sirs and mams, my name is not Chuck, and I'm glad it's not; Chuck is an old person name. Anyway, you can call me pnerps if you want. I conveniently did not capitalize the name because I knew that none of you were going to press the shift button in conjunction with the "P" anyway. I'm from Fargo, ND and it's pretty lame. 99.56% of the people here fail at being able to have an intelligent conversation about anything at all. This includes politics, religion, and, of course, music.
I go to college at North Dakota State University and I'm thinking that my major is going to end up being English education. I'm a pretty diverse guy and tend to have friends in many different groups while seemingly avoiding to join any those groups myself. I rock dreadlocks, play Magic: The Gathering, enjoy writing the English papers that my friends bitch about, destroy Tetris, hate ignorant people, don't care what you think about me, and, unless you're another moronic spawn of stupidity to whom I can let know will never rise above stage two of Kohlberg's theory of moral development, I will be your friend. My favorite band is Alice in Chains and I'm particularly fond of Layne Staley himself which means I absolutely adore Mad Season as well. Besides that, some of my favorite songs are from a really random assortment of artists which include Neil Young (all of his "hits", I hate his other stuff), Radiohead (Really dig them despite claims of them being overrated), Metallica (stereotypically,I enjoy albums one through four and their most recent), Tool (love these looneys), Logh, Portished, Rage Agains the Machine, the Cranberries, Modest Mouse, and Bjork. And, don't hate me, I think that Lady Gaga's radio tunes, although severely over-hyped and overplayed, are rather catchy. Going back to me living in North Dakota and hating ignorant people, someone who personifies this is my roommate and close friend of seven years who is just a downright moron. His favorite bands are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthew's Band, Led Zeppelin, and Kings of Leon. Following that, he believes Flea is the greatest bassist to have ever lived, that Jimmy Page is best guitarist besides Jimmy Hendrix to have ever lived, that Kings of Leon are the best, most recent band, and that DMB has the deepest lyrics of almost every band created. I'm not kidding you. And the best part is that those bands, in addition to probably ten others, is all he listens to. And only, besides DMB (for some reason he loves that, in my opinion, awful band), only songs off of their most popular CD's. He claims to be a liberal because he wants "change" although he is completely clueless as to the happenings, political matters, and relevant concerns pertaining themselves to the world. I hate it, but he must have some smarts in that noggin of his for me not to have abandoned his ass already. Pretty irrelevant, yeah, but that's a good example of what isn't me. Pnerps =/= X. X = the above paragraph. So.... hai? Last edited by pnerps; 03-14-2010 at 04:08 AM. |

Welcome Pnerps!
In the movie Fargo, the people say "ja" (pronounced "ya") like we do in Norway. I guess this is because there are a lot of norwegian immigrants in the area, or at least their descendants. Is this detail from the Coen brothers movie correct?

That's a really long introduction, but I saw that you may be going into English Education, that's where I'm headed, as well. [=
