Default Hi

I'm Rick... I play bass/guitar... been playing for like 15 years or so... I'm an old man from DFW, TX...

I like punk (NOFX Pennywise Rancid) and some indie...

I'm a third generation bass player... my grandpa played for George Jones when he was getting his start in east tx... Grandpa walked out on him between sets because George was a damn drunk who would never amount to anything...

Something so bizarre about music, maybe what I love most about it, is that it can cut through a lot of issues that keep people from realizing how much they have in common. My case in point is my love for Tegan and Sara. I have NOTHING in common with them, it would seem... I'm a foot taller, a 100lbs heavier, bald and super aggressive, I write songs that demand energy. I listen to their music though, and feel like I grew up with them. Despite severe stylistic and personal differences we've felt the same way on a lot of issues, and it's deep enough to me that I'd take a bullet for them (well sara anyway, tegan can take care of herself).

Enough of my blabbering hello everybody
