Funk that Soul

I am a 38 year old American male from California.

I love funk, soul, and blues, and found this forum while searching for ways to learn more about funk, soul, and blues.

I have a girlfriend, and my band plays out 2-4 times a month here locally. I am a drummer.

I like positive/overcoming vocals, and I like the feel and mechanics of funk.

I can be boring, as I talk about the same three topics all the time, music, martial arts, and physical therapy, though I can be distracted from those topics by sex jokes.
