Hey, I'm new here. Just looking for people to talk about music with and share opinions with. Anything I should know before I get on this forum? Favorite bands?

Yes, but it's a bit late now. You should know that there is an Introductions forum which is fairly easy to notice upon arrival, a Newcomers Guide thread, and a Music Banter Forum Rules thread both conveniently located in the Introductions forum.

Maybe a mod will move this there, and set you on the right path to becoming a valuable member of this internet society.

When I joined, I read the rules but didn't notice the Introduction section for several days because it is

DOWN AT THE BOTTOM of the home page rather than at the TOP where it should logically be, right next to the rules, since those are the first two things newcomers are asked to observe.

I'm glad you have joined, regardless where you post. It looks like you must like rock/metal! I'm rather intrigued by metal music and am trying to learn more. I hope you enjoy the site.
