Hi there

Well, my name is Dani and I'm seventeen. I live in California and I'm on a musical exploration. I'm basically new to music banter. I got an account in March but have not really been on. I got referred to this site and told I would totally get music suggestions. So if anyone wants to throw down some album names or artists I should check out please do so. Thanks for the help and it'll be great to meet you all.

Welcome to MB. Glad to hear anyone is going to explore the vast world of music! Hope you find some stuff you like, just stick around and you're bound to. So what kind of stuff were you looking to get into?

Welcome to MB.

Well, I'm pretty much open to anything, but I would prefer what I'm going to call "starter albums" and by that I mean music that is not going to scare me away. A couple months ago someone sent me a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album, and well that just did not work. I prefer pop and acoustic stuff, but again I'm open to anything. Sorry if this is to vague

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but perhaps you may like some of it. I recommending alot of classical. :-)
  1. Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C Minor
  2. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata
  3. Dichter's Piano Concerto in B flat Minor
  4. Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E Flat Major
  5. Eric Whitacre's October
  6. On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss (one of my ABSOLUTE favorites)
  7. Chant and Jubilo
  8. Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries
Those are just a few of what's playing on my iPod at the moment. Hope that helps. xD

Get some Pogues albums, and lots of them. Nowt wrong with starting from Red Roses For Me.

And welcome to the boards.

Thank you bandteacher1, there seems to be alot of classical there. If it's piano I'm sure to love it. Seeing as piano has always hit a soft spot in my heart. Also, thank you for the welcome and the Pogues albums suggestion Bulldog. It would seem as though you like them, so I'll give them a go. I have never heard of them, but they can't be as crazy as some of the stuff as I've heard.

You're certainly welcome. If you like piano, might I suggest searching "Piano Concertos" on youtube or iTunes. One I would suggest is the piano version of "The Great Gate of Kiev". It's a really good work.

Welcome! Have you checked out the album review section on MB? People have left good reviews on lots of albums. I'm sure you can find something you like there.
