I have spent a really large amount of time listening to each album, nothing I regret though.

Alcest, I have listened mainly to Autre Monde, but I have checked out the earlier stuff as well. Have not checked if anything else has been released, last time I checked Niege was working on something but there was no information on a release date or anything. Ive also listened to a bit of amesoeurs, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Alcest.

souvenirs dun autre monde itself is one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard in my life.

I havent checked out the earlier stuff yet but i will get around to it at some point.

Souvenirs d'un autre monde is one of my very favourite albums that i have been turned onto since signing up here, it really is a beautiful record. I have checked out and/or been sent or recommended an absolute load of albums in my time here that i may never have known about otherwise. As you can imagine a lot of them havent been my thing, a lot of them are fine records but will likely just take up space on my hard drive after the first listen but that one is one of very few that are gonna stick in a big way. Physical copies have been very expensive whenever i've priced it up but i'll get one eventually.

Yeah, the album is without a doubt a gem. Besides being great itself, it severely altered the path I was heading on, when it came to musical discovery. I never would have gotten into shoegaze or dreampop, and thus would have never gotten into post rock or post punk. I cant even calculate the alterations that deciding to download and listen to this album have made in my musical taste.

Hey Wiki, pretty good taste you got there. When I came to the boards I knew about a tenth of the bands you just listed, but MB is like a cesspool of music. Have fun sorting through it all, looking forward to you post count getting higher and your taste getting wider. Welcome to MusicBanter,

Thanks, most of the the bands I listen to I discovered because of posting at similar forums. I really do look forward to discovering new bands, and have already discovered a few in my short time here.
