First name, Yon. Second name, Troper.

New to musicbanter, hoping to learn a lot about music. I've never been a serious member of many other forums.

My music loves cover three bases (though I do like some other genres): prog, weird abstract experimental music, and metal. Wire is my favourite band. Other loves include Pere Ubu, Morbid Angel, King Crimson, Curved Air, Focus, Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, The Residents, Henry Cow, Slint and the Swans.

I play guitar and keyboards, both equally horribly. I cannot write lyrics.

I love reading fantasy novels. (Actually, that might give me some lyrical inspiration; I'm commencing work on writing for a hypothetical Song of Ice and Fire rock opera.)

So, that's Yon in a nutshell. Let the banter commence.
