Urrm..tbh I despise Fallout Boy, My Chemical Romance(except Desolation Row, that's an awesome cover xD), 30 Secs to Mars...Anything with a fringe and guyliner really. I know thats chucking everything in one group and you'll hate that, but I really cannot stand all these poppy emo group wailing about dying and girls and parties. Not cool.

yeah, i kinda saw that coming. nothing against you, just that when people say they hate new music those bands usually are mentioned.
but really, that isn't the only style of music out there right now, you know. hell, just look at some of the threads on this site and i'm pretty sure you'll find some new music that'll suit your tastes. either way, welcome to the site

I'll agree with Antonio and Rickenbacker and say that you really should try opening up to more modern music. As an example, these are some bands that I love and are fairly recent. TV On The Radio The Flaming Lips Radiohead Phish My Morning Jacket Mastodon Green Day Elvis Costello (He's still making music) The White Stripes The Dead Weather Dave Matthews Band M.I.A Fleet Foxes Cat Power Porcupine Tree Pearl Jam Arctic Monkeys and a lot more
