Default Greetings!

New to the forum, and I just wanted to drop a quick thread and introduce myself. My name is Pat and I am from Los Angeles. Two things in life make me happy, and they are metal and horror movies!

Nice to meet everyone! Stay metal!

Welcome to MB, Pat (EffYouYankeeBlueJeans)!

What are some of your favorite Metal bands and horror movies? Are you familiar with the band Cattle Decapitation? I found out about them after joining MB. The Amityville Horror is a movie that has always freaked me out, ever since I was able to watch it (unbeknownst to my parents) during a sleepover at age 13.

I spent many winter holidays in Altadena at my Swiss grandparents' little bungalow, eating persimmons right off the tree in their small orchard in the backyard, avoiding black widow spiders hiding in trash cans, and enjoying hiking in the foothills whenever I could...but the smog was always pretty bad, and that was years ago. I imagine the smog has only gotten worse in Los Angeles?

Again, welcome to Music Banter. I hope you find that it becomes the third thing in your life that makes you happy.

Heh heh, Dr. Seussicide, that was always one of the Saturday Night Live sketches that amused me (though not as much as Wayne's World, shwing!). Pat, I suppose you get that joke question a lot?

Indeed it was! It also was one of the most horribly painful, amazingly awful, dangerously stupid movies of all time! ...Which I watched nonetheless...

...I liked the Chris Farley sketches btw
