Cool Hey there, Sunshine.

Hi hi hi, everyone. Thought I'd make a thread to get some unneeded attention and a feeling of initiation, however short-lived those two things may end up being.

Ya'll can call me whatever you like - most of my friends call me Sunny. To avoid writing a very dull and anti-climactic novel in this post, I'll skip my life story and get to the music (though I'd gladly tell if asked). I've spent most of my years with my head in the ground listening to whatever my parents/friends listened to, which really didn't end up being anything I particularly enjoyed, even though I convinced myself I did. After an e-friend of mine introduced me to an extremely emotional and thought-provoking album, I realized what it means to have music really "hit" you. I enjoyed that feeling, and thus decided to expand my horizons in hopes of finding music resulting in similar feelings.

And so, here I am. My current music tastes are kind of mixed up, since I've just recently been trying new genres. So far, I enjoy many of the folksier sounds. Though, my years here tell me that this will certainly change the further I get into music.

I'll conclude by saying, firstly, that I hope to be welcomed here; and secondly, that anyone who successfully read all that deserves a medal.

Welcome. What was the emotional and thought-provoking album your friend introduced you to? What are some bands/artists you like?

It was Hospice, by The Antlers. The lyrics were what got me.

Some artists and bands I've recently started listening to are The Antlers, fun., and Bon Iver; but some of my old favorites are Aerosmith, Billy Joel, and Train. I've been told I have nerdy taste, but that's alright with me.

lol, that was not even close to a novel. You should see some of the things Vegangelica and I write.

Yes, you are welcome here, hopefully you'll get to be a regular poster. I know this site has expanded my horizens quite a bit, and I haven't even been here all that long. I'll have to listen to The Antlers, I've never heard of them before.

Thank you for the welcome. I certainly hope I stick with this site long enough to be a regular.

And, really, not many people have heard of The Antlers, I find. They've been around a while, but not until they released Hospice did they really get all that much attention. Regardless, I highly recommend giving them a try.

It's always good to see members who look as though they might take their time and put some thought and effort into their posts.

Welcome aboard.
