Default Hi

Hi, my names Steve, I'm from Cardiff (Wales, UK).
I love music, and there are only a few genres that I don't listen to. I've just started learning to play the drums , I've dabbled with guitar a little bit, and I'm looking for a digital piano so I can start learning that as well. I know a little bit about music theory, but it really is just a tiny little bit. I'm hoping to correct that in the near future.

I've been known to stand up mates, miss appointments, parties, exams etc all because I started listening to an album, which led me to check out more stuff by the artist, or something by similar artists. Time just seems to vanish!

I never used to go to a lot of gigs, and I'll still avoid big stadium type shows. I find smaller venues much better, and I reckon I average about 2 or 3 a month. (I'm not including going to see a band play in a pub with that, I do that weekly.) One of the benefits of smaller venues is that it tends to mean cheaper tickets, so I'll often just turn up without knowing who's playing.

Apart from music, my hobbies include football (Cardiff City), scuba diving, paintballing, going up the gym, mountain biking...

I'm going to stop writing now, otherwise you'll have my entire life story!

What kind of marker do you have?

It's a tippmann 98 custom, with no custom bits at all!
We bought guns, masks etc online, and we go up my mates house to play. He's got a load of land around his house, with a little wooded area. We made some hides and stuff, and just go and shoot each other. It's a good laugh. There's a place not far from us where we get our gas, so it costs us a few quid for an afternoon.

Man, you can't beat that.

I regret upgrading to my NXT, I can't sell the damned thing now haha.

I miss the simplicity of it all, so much so, I've lost my taste for the sport ever since I got caught up in the "Get the Best Gear" crap.

We've got markers, balls, masks, and goggles. We had them quite cheap too.

I really need to get something 'proper' to wear. The whole t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms thing is getting a bit too painful now.
It's fun when you first start, it hurts but you laugh when you get shot. You go down the pub showing off your bruises, your scrams from crawling through brambles to get a shot, etc But I'm getting old now!

Ahaha! I know the feeling, I've upgraded from a T-shirt and shorts to Hooded Sweatshirt and Cargo Shorts. That's about as far as I can go, protection-wise, whilst still being comfortable.
