Default Spot the Intro

Hi there!

I know nobody ever reads the noob intro threads but I thought I'd do one anyway.

So... my name's Thursday and I mostly live on the internet, but in real life I reside in the UK. I found this site via a link adidasss posted on movieforums, which is a site just like this one but for movies. Since I have spent more time going to gigs than watching movies this year I thought I should check it out.

Some of my favourite bands old and new: The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, Mansun, Suede, Placebo, Bombay Bicycle Club, Heartbreak, Robots in Disguise, Noisettes, The Killers, Bloc Party, Radiohead, Muse, White Lies, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, TV on the Radio, Morrissey, The Long Blondes, My Vitriol, Maximo Park, Pulp

Last gig I went to: Leeds festival (Saturday - Radiohead, Bloc Party and Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlining)

Favourite song of 2009 so far: Death by White Lies (I like The Chase and Status remix as well)

Three songs I never, ever get bored of: Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins, Mr. Brightside - The Killers, Fistful of Love - Antony and the Johnsons

Some non-music things I like: Films, books, The Mighty Boosh, pizza, pub quizzes, pear cider, purple

Looking forward to talking about music with all of you

Willkommen once again. I like your taste in pretty much everyfink...

Oh if you feel like it you can maybe make a thread on Bombay Bicycle Club. I checked them out based on your recommendation and quite liked them...(:

Thanks!

I did try to make a thread on Bombay Bicycle Club already, but it wouldn't let me post any links because I need to have 15 posts first, and a thread about a band's no good if you can't link to any of their songs, so when I've racked up 15 posts I'm going to make one
