I've lived in Ottawa my whole life - I'm bais lol.
I've never been to Toronto and I'm on the fence since its a bigger city and more crime but holds a lot of promise for many of things.

Every city has crime. But it's still a great place! I don't live downtown anymore, I live uptown in Downsview.

Ya... that doesn't mean anything to me lol since I dunno anything really about toronto's streets or areas.
