Default hello : )

Hey everyone,

I'm SarahJayne. Originally from Portland, OR but currently living in Dallas, TX. I'm a vintage boutique owner, and also do wardrobe styling, art direction, and location scouting for a local alt erotica company.

I've loved music for as far back as my memory goes. But getting into Guns & Roses and Motely Crue at age 10 was when the obsession truly kicked in. A few years later I got into the riot grrrl and indie bands emerging at the time, and started digging through the annals for early punk. I haven't looked back since.

I'm heavily into early punk, glitter rock, 60s garage, rockabilly, indie pop, and psychobilly (mainly the EARLY melodic stuff). But I'll give anything a chance and truly believe I can find at least one song I like from any genre. Lately, I've been on a 60s soul kick.

So there ya go. Lookin' forward to your opinions and recommendations!

-SJ

This forum has been lacking a strong presence in these genres
lately. Welcome, and don't waste any time exposing us to your musical leanings!

Good to see a newbie I don't want to strangle and leave for the police to find in the ravine a week later.

^^^ Some of their songs yes, namely 'my one desire' and 'sexy and 17'. But I prefer their 'competitors' from that time, the Polecats. Rockabilly meets new wave! I'm a big fan of original rockabilly, but something about this band just floors me!
