Default Another new guy??

Hey guys, I'm new here on Music Banter. Obvious out of the way, here's a little about myself!

My name is Ricky and I'm 18 years old. I've spent most of my teenage life browsing for all kinds of music while online. Offline, I'll hang out with my friends or play video games with said friends, or just spend quality time with my beautiful lady friend. :-) It's been a good long time since I've actually done something productive online so I decided I would join here and maybe meet some people with similar tastes as me, and learn about other music of course! With summer coming up I should have more than enough time to get situated here.

My music taste varies greatly. We all know the people who, "listen to everything," but this is only partially true with me. I'll listen to anything at least once. This means country, pop, death metal, zouk, anything you'd want to throw at me. I don't really limit myself by genre anymore, but for the sake of things we'll say I'm mostly interested in Progressive Metal/Rock, Indie/Folk, post-hardcore, and post-rock My favorite groups (currently) are Portugal. The Man, Laura, Fleet Foxes, Tera Melos, The Mars Volta, The Fall of Troy, Between the Buried and Me, The Strokes, Pixies, Ratatat, and The Toasters. I'm really interested in finding more underground groups from all genres.

That's all I've got right now, if anyone has any questions for me feel free to ask. :-)

Thanks guys, I'm enjoying the variety of discussion here so far! Oh and that would be my favorite Belle and Sebastian album! It was one of those albums I listened to way back when I first started exploring music, I never really get tired of them :-)
