As im sure you can see this thread has become cluttered over time but it is a great idea.

There is now a need thread for this and it is locked. It will not be used for discussion but simply an easily accessible and organised location for our members photo's.

This thread however has now been opened again for you to contribute a URL to an image of yourself that you wish to be archived into a definitive MB Picture Gallery.

Well i was thinking of alphabetical until i realised that the more people contributed their photos that it wouldn't realistically be possible. Especially with the image limit in each post.

Seems i need not have worried about people adding their photo's though.

I say add them when you see them post a picture in the main gallery.
If they're ok with posting in there, there's no reason they should have a problem with their picture being in the archive. If they do, then they can request it be taken down and/or changed to something else.

I thought about doing that. I just didnt know if that was a good idea. On one hand it would be a photo they have added to the site of their own accord but on the other, the gallery thread is a sticky and therefore their photo is there for all to see and doesnt get quickly and easily buried in a thread.

A way to solve that would be to simply reply to their post with their picture in it and ask them if they wouldn't mind it being in the archive. I always hit that thread up, so if you miss something I could catch it and help populate the archive.

Hmm well maybe we could try that i guess. Especially with the long standing members.

Whos going out of their way? Its no work really, it only involved collecting links that were already here and making one definite location for a picture gallery.

People know this thread exists but i think the images, rather than a list of links to click on, is the better option. Plus alot of the links didnt work anymore and it hadnt been updated for a long time with links people had submitted.

I agree with the idea of the second thread. There's something about links, that I don't feel too appealing.
