I'm not sure I'm asking in the right place, but the prohibition against advertising/promoting is a little unclear to me. Does simply posting obscure bands or new bands count? Like, I'm sharing them 'cos I like them and I'd like other people to discover them kinda deal.

It's just about promoting your own music.
Promoting a friend's music in a spammy way is also frowned upon.
Apart from that, feel free to recommend us stuff.
