Default Awaiting Judgment

The facts. For you. From me. In list form. Does it get any better?

-Close to 18. Not close enough.

-Midwestern American. Looking for a way out, just like everyone else in the Midwest.

-I like music. I'm on a music forum. Y'dig?

-Lyricist. Not a songwriter yet, because I know nothing about actual music formation, only words. So I'm really just a procrastinating poet.

-Since I don't know how to write music, it's a safe bet I can't make it either. I wish I could. How many times have I started learning the guitar now?

-I try to listen to everything and be fair with my music genre appreciation. I can't think of any particular genre where I haven't heard something I don't like.

-Favorite genre changes. I've been listening to a lot of indie rock lately, though. It is pretentious as hell at times, and it's not easy to hunt down new sounds, but it's odd how different and diverse it can sound.

-Least favorite genre would probably be metal, just because I have no ear for it. It's pretty much an acquired taste. Still, I'm not completely unappreciative of it.

-Also, despite popular sentiment, I have nothing against pop music.

-Or popular hip hop/rap, for that matter.

-I try not to have a favorite band. I think I just have more of an eye for individual songs than groups. I like mixed CD's better than albums.

-Due to my genre-blending habit, I tend to like songs or artists that blend genres as well. The more incompatible the genres seem to be, the more I like it. Well, I shouldn't say that. When done correctly, I like it.

-I have more to say, and later I will have more time to say it.

Comments? I like comments, and I'm sure I like you.

It will never work if you tell them what the final result is before you slowly immerse them!

Welcome, pressure. Nice introduction. A blend of genres, you say? Try Ween. Try Mr. Bungle. Unless you already have. If that's the case then
