Crunch-a-tize me Alah
Oh hey. This is just an intro thread. Nothing cool. Im late but Im here. Ive always been a forum junky, so I decided to google music forums so I can get a better sense of... things.. in music, so I can be on a better foot while I start making music.
Ive played bass guitar, (and Im very avid and patriotic about bass in particular for some reasion,) for about 3 1/2 years and a lot of other instruments. I think my friends and I are over due for making music. Im through focusing on technical skill and ready to excercise creativity. Self fulling prophecy: I think Ill do pretty good once I get started. I've always done good when I try and focus, and Ive done nothing but music recently. Im trying to be as positive as possible... without fantisizing xD Oh and another thing about me, I've always typed wayy too much on forums. I can't help it. Im holding back right now... Ive learned that people usually get discouraged dont read when they see four paragraphs about nothing... I thank the two or three people who will read this |

Ah, oh yeah. Let me conjure a list... My style is mostly... I dont know.. alternative... Lets just call it that...
Radiohead (In Rainbows really hits the spot for me), old Smashing Pumpkins of course, I like Beck's stuff off Modern Guilt, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Cake, Death Cab, Incubus, MGMT, Mindless Slef Indulgence, Modest Mouse (OLD/some new), Muse, Nirvana, Pixies , RHCP, Sublime, The Postal Service, The White Stripes/Anything Jack White does , TV on the Radio, Ween, Weezer You probably noticed its kind of in alphabetical order xD I just went through my MP3 player... I know theres more Im really into that I can't think of right now, but thats pretty much my flavor. Im also wanting to be exposed to alot of different stuff, hopefully through this site some. |

I think the white stripes dont really exist anymore because of Meg White, so he started The Raconteurs, which is responsible for "Steady as she goes" and my favorite right now, "Consoler Of The Lonely"
It's deffinately worth checking out... (I can't post a link to it on youtube till I get 15 post =/) Anyway, Jack White also has his feet wet in another bands business that has some female singer... I dont know what they're called but none the less, Hes extremely buisy... and brilliant as far as I can see |
