Default Name: Jess

Hi, my name is Jess. I live in Washington. I graduated from high school last year, and I am working on my associate of arts degree, so I can transfer to a four year university to major in music education. I want to become a high school band director. Music is a huge part of my life. And I can't think of anything else to say =)

Nice. I'm planning to move to Oly in the next few months. I'm new here, too. Welcome.

also, some things I forgot to mention about myself. I play trumpet, clarinet, and tenor saxophone. I am into all types of music. I especially love ska, horrorpunk, and psychobilly. But I've been a big fan of old chicago style jazz. Benny Goodman is one of my heroes. I am a sucker for classical music, and I love it when my friends tell me that an insanely intense piece of music is boring and could put them to sleep. some of my favorite bands include mastodon, lamb of god, in flames, walls of jericho, koffin kats, tiger army, danzig, the postal service, Imogen heap, portishead, flaming lips, pavement, moldy peaches, streetlight manifesto, cake, reel big fish, and many many others. and I don't know about you, but music is such a big part of my life I would not be able to live without it. I am a huge supporter of local junior high and high school bands. Because the music programs are the first things that get cut in public schools.
