Not everyone will like Elliott Smith, I still can't get into him because of all the hype, same thing with Radiohead.

How can the hype affect the actual quality of the music though?

ooh dac heard Radiohead and had to comment ;). But seriously though I have to agree with him. Just because a band doesn't live up to the hype they get shouldn't mean that makes them not good.

And yea radiohead is overhyped in my opinion but they are still pretty good. I wouldn't like them any less just because they get the hype.
