Just spent a couple hours checking out the site, and I'm loving what I'm seeing. Lots to be seen and learned, I can't wait to sink my teeth in. Thanks for having me here!

Hello. What kind of music/ specific bands do you like?

Blues and post-rock. My real goal is to expand beyond commonly known artists and discover more obscure talent that will knock my socks off.

Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sigur Ros are all major influences, but since scoping out these boards a bit I've come across a lot of bands.

I also want to branch out and find good music even in genres I'm not a big fan of, sort a of a music appreciation thing. Skilled rappers and hip-hop that have a strong message are one example. The Roots, Black Star; they make me take a second look at genres I might have just tossed to the wayside. But to be perfectly honest, I'm a blues man at heart. I love all music, I just don't know it yet.
