Default Hello

I was looking for a good music forum and found this one. There seems to be a lot of good dicussion going on here and I hope to contribute to that. I'm a big fan of everything from classical to blues to soul to folk...even to opera (not so big on rap and absolutely no country in my preference list however), although my favorites tend to lie in psychedelic and progressive rock.

Awesome, good to have you here. There's quite a few prog fans here (and they know their stuff). Got any favorite bands?

Well, I'm a big fan of musicians like the Kinks, the Grateful Dead, CCR, the Doors, Pink Floyd, Yes and...first and foremost...Jimi Hendrix. I could go on for hours listing my favorites though. I'm also a very big fan of vinyl over the compact disc medium (I've amassed quite the collection over the last couple of decades) and I've tried my hand at writing music from time to time. Thanks for the welcome, lucifer sam.
