New here (well obviously) (singer, electronic, hardcore, hip-hop, indie)

Hello all,
I am a 20 year old female who is a little nuts about music. I like anything non-mainstream (though The Spice Girls have a special place in my heart). I attend college and I am a Communications student. I DJ for college radio and I am a music director for the board. I currently am doing a music solo project (I am a singer, been pro-trained an all). It's called Girl Singer (NOT CLEVER), and is a mix of free jazz/experimental/cabaret crap. I REALLY dig almost all electronic music,indie rock and hip-hop, goth and deathrock, a little bit of punk and hardcore,big band and swing,world music (go, Bollywood!). My favorite genres at the moment are jazz (always) and post-rock. I like to paint in my free time, as well. Thanks for reading all this trivial crap!

Favorites? Oh man, that's hard..I like so much. I guess my most, never changing favorites would be:
Beck,Siouxsie and the Banshees,Sex Gang Children,Bjork,Jamie Lidell, John Coltrane, MSTRKRFT,Ladytron,Cex,Sun Ra,M.I.A,DJ SHADOW!
just to name a few.

Also, quick question, i'm off to uni in not too long and i'd love to DJ for their radio, how did you get around to doing that?

My place just had applications...I was really lucky I was able to get a show right off tha bat with my friend (who transfered, wah). Just find out about it and show up, be friendly and all that **** and you should be ok.
When I start my show again I'll post a link (it's on the internetz). I was lucky to best befriend someone with a lot of the same taste as me, and he even got me SUPER into electronic and indie music. Before that I listened to some, but at the time I was still a little gothling...
