Default My noob thread

Hello everyone, I just joined this morning. I am looking forward to living
vicariously through your opinions and finding some new music to listen to.
I listen mostly to hard rock but I am open to all kinds of music so I will
get to reading and posting in the threads in the hopes that my efforts will
result in turning me on to some cool music I have never heard before and
also meeting some good people as well. Thanks for letting me be part of your community.

Thanks for the welcome! Well, I've been trying to expand my horizons lately since I usually just listen to the stuff on the radio. I've always been a SOAD fan and I like the solo stuff that Serj Tankian put out as well as Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan's side project Scars on Broadway. Stone Sour is another one of my favorites. I was also a fan of 80's metal and 90's grunge back in the day and I still like to listen to it once in a while. I don't limit myself to just rock music though, that's just my preference. I thought this would be a good forum to join so I can see what other people are into and maybe give it a try as well.

Do you listen to Fair To Midland? They're signed to Serj's record label. "Dance Of The Manatee" and "Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes" are good ones to check out, if not.

And welcome, I look forward to discussing music with you.

Lightbulb

I knew I was among good people! Some of my friends can't stand ATHF.
I thought the song that Mastodon did for the intro to the ATHF movie was funny as hell.
I think it should be played before every movie in the theater.
