Hello
Hey, names Sheath, I started with a choir in grade 2, and instrumentals in grade 5. i currently play bass, guitar, and still like to sing. I also used to play clarinet and took some piano lessons (the one big thing i got out of that is that i can read sheet music and rythm's very astutely {damn tabs..}). I'm not really sure what to be saying in here, but I'm leaving highschool this year, and I decided not to go into music.. though i may still change to it in university. i guess i'm worried that once i start going to university (windsor) and get older, the place to play music isn't going to be there. i know i can always play by myself, but it just doesn't fit my style.. I enjoy big bands, orchestra's, and classical music. anyway, as more immediate goals, im looking for someone to help me learn to improv on bass a bit better... i'll add more as i think of what to say..
I may as well add, im quite hateful of the canadian public school system for how they allow the arts to be put aside for the 'more important' subjects.. I don't mean to come off in a bad way, but I think if I'd had the opportunities of an american highschool, and a richer family, that i could've gone somewhere with music someday, but where i am now, i don't see it as a realistic possibility. I envy people who have those advantages. One of my lifetime goals, is to learn and be able to fluently play at least one instrument from every family. (my current hopes are Bassoon and sax(ww), Piano(perc), DB and Cello(strings), and trumpet(brass)) If anyone is looking for a Bass player in windsor, i'd be more then happy to meet ya and talk.
