Cool Hey all!

Hey everyone,

I'm brand-spanking-new to this site, so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm blankpagespeaks, or BPS if you like. I live in a tiny town in Virginia where most people's taste in music consists of either MTV hip-hop or pop-country. It is those circumstances, in fact, that brought me to this forum. I enjoy discussing - as well as writing and playing - music, with others who have a true appreciation for it. Those people, unfortunately, are too few and far between where I live.

Some favorite bands of mine are Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, and Deftones. I can generally find something I enjoy in every genre, and I love sampling new forms of music. I'm currently on a jazz and classical kick, so for any recommendations in those two genres, I'm all ears.

I'm a singer-lyricist, and a novice guitar player.

Other interests include writing (in all its forms), reading, fitness, films, and the production side of music.

I hope to meet other like-minded users, and expand my appreciation of the amazing form of expression we call music.

-BPS

Now, now...don't go scaring people off.

Besides, we all know they are slowly tortured and crushed (by Urban) before they're finally finished off (by Crowquill).

Anywho...welcome BPS! You sound very interesting and talented. I'm sorry you're stuck in Podunk, Virginia.

Yea, soon you'll realize that every ones an elitist, doesn't respect your musical opinion, and makes you want to quit the forum more and more every day.

But then again, maybe you'll like it.

Yea, that entire is album is very good, but kinda hard to go showing people because of the screaming throughout.

Many of the untitled tracks are great also.

You know, I never was able to understand why some people became music elitists. They always reminded me of that teacher in school who made fun of the students who didn't know the answers: you could learn something from them, but they're such @ssholes about it, you just don't really care to.

Personally, I'm very open-minded when it comes to music. If it sounds good to me, I listen to it.

#6 and #11 are the ones that do it most for me.

and i suppose i'll say hello to the new person too.

hello new person! i'm relatively new also but i'm quite used to being an elitist bastard (i try to avoid it by focusing on giving advice in the instrument section but not enough people post there) just be on your toes for whenever UH and CQ decide they want to tag team ya.
