new guy no.842568456

**** i forgot to introduce myself!
what's good?
i'm John and i have no talents so i appreciate music, full-time. i'm 22 soon and i knocked university on the head because apparently they required you start your sentences with capital letters. so now i clean up **** and listen to music, and plot my return.

oh, and i like making compilations, absorbing new media, coffee and rollies.

it's good to come across a broad, overall 'music' forum, haven't been able to find any others.

safe,
john

ps - i'm reluctantly based in North Norfolk, in East Anglia, UK. they call it the 'rump' of England. check the map to see why

I thought it was cos of all the arseholes that live there.
Welcome talentless loser. :)

Edit: It's always a good idea to post a list of bands you like...that way there's half a chance someone here might even like you. ;)

Hello, I like coffee to:)

Molecules 02-03-2008 06:19 AM

like alot of people here I'm entrenched in a large enough spectrum to just go around blurting that I like all music. I'm alot better at saying what I hate...
personal cornerstones though have to be the Beatles (doesn't matter what you dig, it begins and ends there), errm the Fall, and acid house began a whole culture that has made me think I wasn't alone, if only briefly (i can't speak for electronic/dance in the US, except Chicago and Detroit of course :))
Oh and a slew of punk bands that meant alot to me, that made music free again. the Clash, etc.
I also follow the UK underground and bemoan the state of popular music, almost every waking minute.

I go through phases. Which I intend to chronicle, music included, on my blog (shameless plug, sorry)
I'm trying to interview Dave Mustaine of Megadeth for it, hopefully the first of many.

thanks for the warm welcome, chaps, crack on!

xx

The teeth man...the teeth.
The Mericans are a vain lot mate...and they need a perfect smile for that insincere..."have a nice day".

oh yeah, silly me! good to see rampant xenophobia is alive and well on the forums.
