Re-Introduction
 

Taking advantage of MB's "second chance" program, allow me to re-introduce myself.

Formalities: My name is Donald. I'm 20 and I'm a sophomore at the University of Missouri - Columbia. I'm majoring in structural civil engineering.

My musical tastes are not quite as wide and matured as some, but they fit me well. My interest lately has gone towards underground, conscious rap. The likes of El-P, Aesop Rock, Eyedea & Abilities, and Brother Ali are some of my most listened to artists. Also lots of mainstream rap, Lupe Fiasco is my current infatuation.

I'll always be a fan of metal and many of its bastard children genres, regardless of my rap infatuations. Fozzy of course (yes, I'm still repping Fozzy guys), As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, Motorhead (my perennial metal favorite), Opeth, and others.

Chris Daughtry has come to be one of my favorite mainstream rock artists, regardless of his American Idol past. His debut CD was by far the best debut album of 2007 IMHO.

Music aside, my political views tend to lean towards conservative (imagine that) I don't really claim a political party, as both major one have thir disappointments, and the less known ones tend to be cults.

Wtf with Chris Daughtry...His debut is probably the most annoying album of 2007...

I personally loved that CD. It had maybe 1-2 songs that werent amazing.

That Cris Daughtry Album was absolulty horrible. But Hello anyways:)

Me: I first heard it in 2006.
Other Friend: Ive been a fan since 2002.
Him: Oh really? I've been listening to Conner Oberst since BEFORE he started making music. I saw him drunk and singing in a coffe house in Seattle years and years ago *smug look*

Hahah that reminds me of when I had this conversation with this dude about Elliott Smith and he tried to one up me and was all "Yeah I got into him when I saw him play in 04." I then pointed out he was dead by then.

This is how that conversation would have gone if I was there

Him: How long have you been listening to Bright Eyes?
Me: WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THAT FUCKING WET CUMSTAIN IT'S NOT 2002 ANYMORE YOU FUCKING PRICK.
