im feeling dumb, but whats a tweeker??
|
I just think it tends to be more exciting down there than it is up here, Bellingham bores the hell out of me. Though the towns around the sound are generally the funnest, I miss living in Olympia.
|
Ive never been to the one in the States, but now im gonna have to go and see it
Here, its like a typical dirty city, and our hockey team is not playing to well, but still. Its nice:) |

A tweeker is what we call someone who's life revolves around meth. They steal anything that isn't bolted down, and some things that are bolted down. They steal wires out of lamp posts to sell the copper to buy more meth. Most crime around here is meth related. Google "faces of meth" to see what a tweeker looks like. Downtown Portland is filled with "street kids" that do nothing but beg for money so they can do more heroin. At least they don't steal everything, I think its to much work for them. |

I lived in up there in the early 90's in my teens. I was in the right place at the right time and age to really get into grunge. I still don't know why I thought my ass was cold enough to deserve a flannel shirt of its own. In a way I miss living up there, but I know that it would never be the same again. That was half my life ago. |

Oh so like a druggie. There are an enormous amount of them here, I once got attacked by this drug addict on the street, it sure wasn't too fun. |

Pretty much, but tweekers act different than most junkies. Its hard to explain unless you know what to look for. Come on down this way and look for the dumbass stealing wire from a street light that is on. You can get the basic idea that way. |
I intend to go over to that Vancouver to check it out, and see if it's as good as the one I'm in:)
|
Well, lemme know what you think of it. Make sure you check out Portland when you are here. Lots of music. Plan your trip around who is playing the Crystal Ballroom. Its a great place to catch a show.
