well i listen to mainly two types of music, progressive metal and indie/underground hip hop. kind of an eclectic mix.

some bands include opeth, orphaned land, symphony x, anathema, adagio, kamelot etc. for prog metal

and Aesop rock, afu ra, hieroglyphics, jedi mind tricks, mf doom, mos def, jurassic 5 for undeground hip hop
