Hi everyone. My name's Chris and I'm from Birmingham, right in the middle of England. I'm pretty much open minded when it comes to music, and really enjoy discovering and listening to as many great bands as I can. I grew up listening to my mum's Motorhead, AC/DC, Led Zep and Free vinyls and I guess they've had a big effect on the sort of music I like, but I'm a fan of stuff from Johnny Cash to Jeff Buckley, Radiohead to Rival Schools, and tons of stuff in between.

I haven't been surfing the net for long, so I'm still pretty overwhelmed by the amount of incredible bands out there that I hadn't a chance of ever hearing otherwise. I've currently got Reuben, Ikara Colt, Hope of the States, Interpol, Amplifier and Fugazi in my car stereo, and my bedroom stereo hasn't let me remove the Shins for quite a while now.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to speak to as many of you as possible over the next few days, weeks and months, and hope I can make a valid contribution once in a while.
