Well, er.. Having spending my entire life up until 12 weeks ago completely deaf, I had never before obviously listened to music. On almost a daily basis I would read about how wonderful this "music" thing really is, and I longed to experience it.

Thanks to a groundbreaking operation, I now have ears that work. Not only am I able to communicate with people on a level that I couldn't before ever dream of, but now I can experience first-hand the joys of music.

My problem, however, is that I don't know where to start! There seems to be so many different types of music around. From what I've heard though so far, I seem to be a fan of "Ska" and some "punk". Two of my favourite bands are The Aquabats (namely Waterslides, Fashion Zombies, Nerd Alert, The Cat With Two Heads, and Pizza Day), The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (You Gotta Go, The Rascal King, and Where'd You Go"). I also like "The Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel. Recently, since joining this forum, I have heard music by "Tool", which I also like, (Thanks to the guy who downloaded it!). I also liked the Catch22 song that somebody posted over in the Ska section's Song Thread.

Oh, and my name's rob
Thanks for the kind welcomes.
