Opeth, Meshuggah, Tool, Soilwork, Isis, Joe Satriani, Mattias IA Eklundh, Mastadon, Nevermore...pretty much all of my favorite bands are metal bands just because that was the first genre with which I fell in love. I have since grown outward to appreciate practically every known genre of music, so my favorites will remain what they are since listing the ones from each genre would be too great a hassle.
