Greetings my friends (pop, punk)

I disagree. I mean, I love their first album and all, and their second album is great too, but I wouldn't go so far as pop, thats just like insulting, plus, just plain sound isn't what categorizes a band, its more their lyrics. If anything, Gerards voice sounds more like jazz or blues in some of their songs, like "You don't know what they do to guys like us in prison", in the beginning his voice sounds A LOT like a jazz musicians, but that doesn't categorize them as jazz or blues.

I would not say their Pop at all.

I would NOT go as frickin far as pop though, I would not clasify them in any sense as pop, no version of pop, no section of pop, NO POP!!!!

I just see them as like, lighter punk.

well, thats your opinion, and thats cool.

I just really don't like pop, and whenever I think of it I think of frickin Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and all that crap. It just brings back bad memories of crappy bands that I used to like, (ick!!).

I don't think MCR suck, their prettty awesome to me.
