That's very sad news, I'm sorry man. May her adorable huge, round eyes be looking upon cat heaven right now.

Thank you. I appreciate the condolences. She did have some borrowed time, so these last few weeks were a blessing.

Sorry to hear that Plankton. Losing a pet is as hard as losing a family member. You got my sympathy man.

I don't know if you're of the pet burying type but if you are then having someone with at least some religious background coming in to perform a service is nice. I've had Jewish burials for two of my pets and while it was self consciously silly it was still legitimately nice and gave the occasion some actual gravitas. Just an idea.

So sorry for your loss, Plankton. I hope loving memories of Sarina will bring you comfort and peace during this very sad time.

That's nice. Unfortunately cats have the tendency to hide when they die, so I never got to bury my cat, and the lack of closure still bothers me

Thanks Bat and Ribs.

We're having 'services' for her tonight by the local animal shelter and she'll be cremated. Her ashes will be spread out in a field. She wasn't my cat. She didn't live in my home. She was my lady friends but I helped save her mother (who we called Karma) from being pitbull training bait many years ago. Karma lived at my friends place and Sarina was part of a litter that came soon after we rescued her mom. Sarina was always curious and playful right up to her last days. She'd play fetch, force you to pet her (using her little paw to pull your hand to her), and had unlimited love and head butts for everyone. I called her the Little Pesty One because once you gave her some attention, you were in it for the long haul whether you wanted to be or not. So much love and such a beautiful soul. It's going to be rough getting used to not having her around.

@Marie Monday ..in the main..Our family moved just before I was going to get married and the Cat we had went missing from our new home. The Church was just around the corner and was in a park called Beddington Park..great place and with the Church in the grounds was magical really. I went to the rector's house and told him about Fluffy the Cat gone missing and he said he would put up a notice on his board in the church, was aware who I was as you have to attend the Church a few times before you can get wed in there.
Never came home again, sometimes they go off to die and Fluffy was old but still heartbreaking and you just have to learn to live with not knowing or go bonkers really..
Thoughts to Plankton again....Had some horrors with some of our pets and at the time it is devastating when your so close, we still think of them a lot and had some real down times over them..but we got through and you will in time...
