My uncle had a dog like that, he was really sweet. They named him lucky - as in lucky to be alive, which i always thought was sort of cute.

I used to have a cat with three legs. I forget exactly what happened to him to lose the leg, but for a while he still had his fourth, though he couldn't use it and it had no sensation. But that didn't stop him from using it as a bludgeon when he got in fight with other cats.
