Sorry to hear about your beloved pets passing. Our dog is now 15 years old and I'm dreading the day she becomes ill or incapacitated in any way. She's been part of the family since I was 8 years old.

We've had...six Saint Bernards over the years. Great dogs. Not the brightest but they're just so goofy and sweet. I suggest you don't underestimate the drool and the shedding though. I've seen almost basketball-sized hair balls rolling, yes rolling, across the floor only a few days after the floor was just vacuumed.

Oh and it's kind of hard to tell from that pic but she kind of looks like a long hair. That's gonna blow when you have to bathe her. It's gonna blow real, real hard. And those dogs are like mules when they don't wanna do something, so you're gonna have to hit the gym if you have to manhandle her into a bath tub. Of course we're also terrible at training dogs to do anything.

We have a white, ginger, and cream coloured cats so I'm already pretty well versed in the art of lint rolling my clothing before I head out but good to know that a handkerchief won't cut it.
We definitely think she's going to be a long hair given the curly and fluffy nature of her ears, plus her father is one and I think it's a dominant trait. As for bathing, right now she's only 30 lbs and I plan on starting obedience training right away while she's still malleable. |
