Hi there, everyone. My name is Jake. I live in the rather beautiful city of Brighton and Hove, England, where I spend my days writing about music and listening to music. I enjoy collecting vinyl records and music-related collectables. As you can tell by my user name, I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, or what used to be referred to as Asperger's syndrome. When it comes to my musical taste, it is diverse, encompassing a wide range of genres and styles. However, the genre I return to most often is progressive rock and psychedelic rock/pop. I am very much looking forward to being a part of the music banter community.

Hey, welcome!
Do you like Pink Floyd's Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun?

Yes, very much so. It's a great example of psychedelic space rock. I tend to gravitate towards the 70s-era Pink Floyd. However, I always feel that Saucerful of Secrets is an underappreciated album. There are some great tracks on it that often get overlooked. What is your favorite Floyd song or album?

My favorite is Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun! I feel like it was a big influence on the more psychedelic stuff of some of my favorite postpunk bands like the Banshees and the Cure.
I gravitate toward the 1960s Floyd. Favorite album has to be The Piper at the Gates of Dawn but I think my favorite record overall is this compilation ![]()
