Default Japanese Punk

I'm not too fond of Japanese punk bands but there are quite a number that are really great (to my surprise)

The Comes
Conga Fury
Corrupted
Dance Macabre
Gagize
M78
Sprocket Wheel
Sherbert
Hi-Standard
Shonen Knife
the Boredoms
Gism
Gauze
The Willard
Bleach
(I believe the vocalist is a chick)
Mad 3
Super Junky Monkey
Triceratops
Wakusei
Lulu's marble
The Michelle Gun Elephant
(I don't care for these guys too much)
Milk Crown (they are amazing)
Missile Girl Shoot
Mong Hang
Mono
Mummy the Peepshow
Papaya paranoia
The Portugal Japan
Rocket Jack vaders
The Rodeo Carburettor
Ron Ron Clou

and those are the only ones I can think of at the moment. You'd be surprised but a lot of these bands are/were influenced by American bands like Weezer and Green Day (back when their music wasn't sh*t)

Japan did have some good hardcore in the mid 80s, my favourite being The Stalin.

Stalin was ok.

But I can honestly say that a lot of the newer bands of today are way better than Stalin/

Mono is post-rock and Boredoms is noise rock, lolz. I don't know most on that list but I have a feeling Raine doesn't either. Anyway I like 1000 Travels of Jawaharlal and Gauze.

But most of the bands are punk. Hell a good majority are. Cut me a little slack since I looked at the titles on my comp and went with the genres i tunes listed them as.

Or cut and pasted them off some internet list to look cool.

This thread loses points for not mentioning Guitar Wolf
