Manchester has a long history of Irish traditional music due to it's large Irish influx. Manchester's Irish decendents keep the music alive in it's many 'Irish' pubs dotted around the city. Crack open a bottle of Guinness, click on the link, then click "play all" for a taste of MancIrish! Opinions please... |
it made me wanna tap dance? great music......WHY WAS I BORN IN CROATIA!??!?!
i can't tell you how fascinated i am by england and ireland, if i ever go there and walk into a pub.....i think i may start to cry...... |
I know dozens of pubs you can walk into on any given night and listen to Irish trad.
Played mostly by keen musicians that play this music just for fun. They don't hire practice rooms, they just turn up on a particular night, sit round a few tables, drink and play. It's usually an open invitation to all. So if you play an instrument and into Irish trad. your welcome to join in. By the end of the night the pubs bouncing and everyone's singing along. Great atmosphere! |
