I heard a soundtrack from "final fantasy" called "sateki da ne".
not so sure it's japaneese; but I like it soooooooooooooooo much, advice u to hear it :)

umm.. yes its easier to look them up by name of instrument if you get the (wrong )japanese music sorry it happens but , Koto(simmiler to a zither), shamisen(guitar like instument).

yes final fanstay is japanese

um...
on instumental i like is called Sakura(cherry blossom) if you can find is it is a pefect example of tradition japanese music.
