Default Perfume Genius

Wow no Perfume Genius thread? Let's fix that.

He has a new album out but here are some older favorites:

The new album seems to be going in a more experimental direction. It's quite interesting.

Experimental maybe but the first video I found disturbing even though I’m not sure what it’s trying to say. As music though it did nothing for me.

Well the lyrics are quite straightforward so I suppose it's about the difficulty in maintaining your true self in a relationship?

Too old to be troubled by all this but during my ’sordid’ past if anyone attempted to repress or modify ‘my true self’ they were shown the door.

I love their new single that is out - "Forget". This song is a powerful reminder of their ability to craft deeply moving and innovative music.
