You know full well what I mean when I say bands that the NME hypes. 10 years from now do you think anybody will remember Razorlight? Kasabian? The Futureheads?
No. And that's what seperates the good from the bad when it comes to the NME. They try so hard to be the magazine that broke the next big thing, that they'll put any band with a record deal on the cover if they think they're it.
Obviously, the NME is sometimes correct in naming good bands, but as I stated in another thread where you hounded me for this, a good portion of the bands are utter ****.

i "hounded" you for it and was annoyed by you because you dissmissed the mere idea that the kooks could be a decent band simply because nme might have written about them, which is rediculous, i agree that they have hits and misses as far as new bands are concerened, but the fact is that they try to promote new music and discover new bands and therefore they are a good way to get to know some new music, if you don't like it ok, no biggy, but don't dismiss it just because nme says they're good, because the band you missed like that could be as good as franz ferdinand ( which, if i'm not mistaken, you like)...
