Default Alanis Morissette

There isn't a thread so in honor of her releasing a new album, I'm gonna post this video which I saw for the first time today and it totally blew my mind because this was just 4 years before Jagged Little Pill came out.

Wow. She certainly made a radical change in sound!

I also had no idea she was a co-author on Jagged Little Pill, with the music apparently being mostly written by a certain Glen Ballard.

I went down this rabbit hole by reading this (interesting!) article:

Btw, I of course loved JLP back in the day!

Let's hope she's miserable and pissed off this time.

I like Alanis Morissette. But Liz Phair was better in, basically, every respect.

I mainly like her for her popular song known as "You Oughta Know", she also had some other pretty good alt rock hits in the mid-to-late 90s and 2000s as well.

'You Learn' is also fine. The whole record is good. Flea plays bass on some songs.

Liz Phair is a textbook definition of sellout. Compare any track from Exile in Guyville to Why can't I.

Who cares if she 'sold out'? It's not like Morissette's post 2000 albums are anything to write home about.

Guyville > Jagged Pill

Guyville > Jagged Pill
Flavours of Entanglement, bitch. And Liz Phair has an annoying voice.

Then again, Alanis Morrissette is just plain annoying.
