The classics I suppose would be Garden State (although whether I agree with Nat Portman telling us the Shins will change our lives is another matter) and Donnie Darko (I WILL lose my virginity to Joy Divison)... And even Magnolia made Aimee Mann sound good for a while.

I love "Magnolia" (although I'm a bit scared now: I hope it won't pour frogs one day!), but the film wouldn't have been half as good, if it wasn't for Aimee Mann's beautiful soundtrack! The sequence when all characters begin to sing "Wise Up" is amazing. And "Save Me" in the end... Same with "Garden State" and "Donnie Darko"... And I agree: The Shins never changed my life, but they're cool. And I love Joy Division. I guess it's not a Indie Movie, but I love the "Kill Bill Vol. I" Soundtrack.
