Also check the real **** like this one --

That one's from the early EP.

And if there's some kind of contest going on: I prefer On Avery Island to The Aeroplane one. A lot. I say On Avery Island is a great piece as a whole while their Big Famous One has just a few standout tracks. I was actually disappointed when Aeroplane came out - I had to work a bit to get into it.

I've only heard one of their songs, Areoplane over the sea. That's because I was recommended it as a beginners song when I started playing guitar. It's one of of my favourite acoustic songs. I really should look at more of Jeff's stuff...

Is it cliché to have ITAOTS in my top 10 albums of all time?
Brilliant record with each masterfully crafted song being a winner.

No, I don't think so. It's probably one of the best albums ever made.

Not necessarily a cliche, but I think there are certainly more than 10 better albums out there, for a variety of reasons. I do love the album though.

One of my favorite bands. Elf Power is great too. Part of the Elephant 6 collective. I had liked NMH for a long time and showed them to a lot of my friends with no avail, glad to see there are others that appreciate it as much as I do haha.

'Aeroplane over the sea' is one of my favourite albums ever, a true masterpiece. I'm no folk music fan but something about this album just tugs my heart strings and pull me in, you can tell Jeff Mangum put his all of is heart and soul into this album. Every time I hear it i feel like i've taken a journey every word he sings just feels very sincere.
